The buyers of the dealership and their purchase history
A customer is a person or a company that buys or asks about a car. The customer record holds contact details, the source, the purchase history, notes, documents and a message thread.
Select a customer in the list to open the page. The heading shows the name. A badge Export appears when the country of the customer differs from the country of the dealership. A side column shows contact details, the portal link, the sales partner and notes. The main area has tabs.
| Tab | Content | Shown when |
|---|---|---|
| Deals | Every deal of the customer and the cars reached without a deal | Always |
| Notes | Internal notes with optional follow-up dates | Always |
| Documents | Invoices of the customer and the files of the customer | The team member holds Customer & Partner Documents Access |
| Messages | The message thread with the customer | Always |
The sidebar shows Customers only to team members who hold Customer Directory Access. The Owner and Manager roles hold every permission in the table. The Staff role holds none of them by default.
| Action | Permission |
|---|---|
| Open the Customers page and a customer | Customer Directory Access |
| Add a customer | Add Customers |
| Edit, archive or restore a customer, add notes and reply to messages | Customer update, held by the Owner and Manager roles |
| Delete a customer | Customer delete, held by the Owner and Manager roles |
| See the sale price of a deal | Deal Financial Access |
| See the sales partner | Partner Directory Access |
| Issue the portal link | Issue Customer Portal Links |
The Owner changes the switches that carry a label in Settings under Permissions. Customer update and customer delete have no switch.
A customer opens a shared page from a link that a team member issues. That page has its own guide.
